Molly Saeger, MFT (mft#48023) is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in San Francisco. For over 15 years her practice has centered on adult, couples, child and adolescent therapy. Molly specializes in the psychological sequelae to medical issues such as perinatal depression, chronic pain, infertility, cancer diagnoses, eating disorders, behavioral issues in children and adolescents, trauma, type I diabetes, and palliative care.  Molly was a lead clinician at the Milton Marks Neuro-Oncology Camp, and has considerable experience and interest in helping patients, caregivers and their families manage the struggles inherent to terminal illnesses.  Molly teaches, supervises, and presents on parenting, divorce, medical and palliative care, bereavement, and eating disorders throughout the Bay Area.

"Feelings and thoughts, at times, may be difficult to manage. Anxiety, depression, painful entanglements, behavioral issues, and the lingering effects of damaging experiences can exhaust us. They may also interfere with relationships and affect behaviors. Finding meaning in difficult emotions and life events can be very helpful. My hope is to provide understanding and insight that creates a safe relationship and develops a sensible model for people to discover potentially destructive patterns, what really matters to them, and how one can live a more creative, flexible, and full life.

I have many years of experience working with adults, couples, children, and adolescents. I have a special interest in working with relationship issues, behavioral issues, parenting, divorce/separation/remarriage/single parenthood, and medical issues (cancer, infertility, postpartum depression, and type 1 diabetes to name a few).

I offer consultation on separation/divorce, co-parenting counseling, and parenting. I work with young children and adolescents and help families work through developmental challenges, transitions, school choices, sexuality, alcohol/drugs, and eating disorders."
